#HRSocialHour #TwitterChat & #BuzzWords 8/28 7 pm ET

We love them, we hate them, we love to hate them. You know them: those buzz words/phrases that pop up all. the. time. And a lot of HR thought leaders will jump on them quickly as it helps drive traffic to their posts. Rarely do these phrases bring up something new to the world of work – except for “New Normal”. Nothing like a pandemic to give us something new! Most often, it seems these are simply recycling something that has always been happening, but the new phrase allows it back to the top of everyone’s mind, and panic. Ghosting is one of my new favorites. A “fun” phrase to allow recruiters and hiring managers to complain about something that has always happened – we have seen candidates no call no show for years (and vice versa with hiring staff), but the fun new phrase can make you think it is something new and something different to pay attention to.

We hope you will join us to talk about your favorites (and not-so favorites) on Sunday, August 28 at 6 pm CT on Twitter. Be sure to use #HRSocialHour in your tweets so we can find you!
